First Blueprint update available

The Blueprint on Digital Transformation of Health and Care for the Ageing Society has evolved as a result of the work carried out by the Blueprint Partners guided by empirica throughout 2018. The first report on the evolution of the Blueprint has now been published.

Announced in 2016, the Blueprint is integral to the European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing (EIP on AHA), reflecting a policy vision shared by many different stakeholders who seek to mobilise investments and advance the digital transformation of health and care. Work on co-developing, promoting and implementing the Blueprint has been supported in the context of the WE4AHA project.

The first update report authored by the Blueprint partners is divided between priority topic areas and the demand side perspective. Four priority topic areas have been identified and explored: 1) Data analytics for predictive risk stratification and prevention, (2) Proactive prevention through empowerment, self-management, monitoring and coaching, (3) Digital solutions for connected health, and (4) Digital support for integrated care. Efforts to better understand and engage the demand side have been channeled into the creation of twelve personas, partially based on real individuals, representative of different population segments.

The Blueprint personas are grouped according to four life stages and three stages of wellbeing. The use of this concept will enable the specification of digital solutions and high-impact user scenarios addressing the reality of different conditions and corresponding unmet needs. The Blueprint personas were presented in greater detail in a dedicated webinar on 27 November 2018.

The first Blueprint evolution report can be accessed here.
