1986 - 89 Managing Director and speaker of the board, German Social Sciences Infrastructure Services (GESIS) Institutes, Bonn/Koeln/ Mannheim.
1990 - 95 Senior Research Fellow (Information management, information policy, information markets) at the Research Centre for Information Economics of the German National Research Centre for Computer Science (GMD) in St. Augustin near Bonn.
