empirica is one of the few research and consulting firms with a longstanding and comprehensive experience in Europe in developing new statistical indicators for the evaluation and monitoring of the development to the information and knowledge society. We have also an extensive record in the identification, analysis and presentation of best-practice models and examples in many ICT related areas.
Using current primary and secondary statistical data and time series analyses empirica develops monitoring and benchmarking studies covering all of Europe, the acceding countries to the EU and the USA.
The planning, carrying out and assessment of representative surveys are some of empirica's core competences. This applies to surveys of the population and decision-makers in companies and organisations. Location analyses are developed using - among other things - empirical data for regions and cities.
empirica carries out research based on empirical data and using a wide range of methods, and prepares trend analyses that include possible scenarios and foresight activities drawing on the assistance of external experts.
empirica designs, develops, monitors and evaluates regional and national activities to create an awareness of and stimulate developments in the transition to the information economy.
