empirica study on 2018 mobile broadband prices in Europe published by the European Commission

The final report of the study “Mobile Broadband Prices in Europe 2018” has been officially published. The study was conducted by empirica on behalf of the European Commission.

The report provides comprehensive data on 2018 retail prices of mobile broadband offers in the EU28, Iceland, Norway, Turkey, Japan, South Korea, and the USA. It reveals mobile broadband offers in Europe have been significantly cheaper in 2018, compared to the previous year. The findings indicate that mobile broadband is overall inexpensive in seven European countries (Italy Poland, Austria, France, the United Kingdom, Luxembourg, and Finland). At the opposite end, only two countries (the Czech Republic and Cyprus) qualified as expensive.
