The aim of this service contract for the European Commission, represented by the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, is to provide a key contribution to the development and the promotion of digital organisational frameworks and IT professionalism in support of the digital transformation of enterprises in Europe. It will investigate how enterprises, especially SMEs, could benefit from a coordinated approach for the effective adoption of digital organisational frameworks and IT professionalism to help them take advantage of the opportunities offered by digital technologies. A proposal for an integrated digital organisational reference framework will be elaborated and general guidelines for the use of the digital organisational reference framework created, to help enterprises and SMEs assess their digital capabilities. Concrete recommendations for implementation will be provided for at least three EU Member States (and sectors) and the results will be widely promoted and disseminated.
